Grandma’s Country Kitchen — Meatloaf

MEATLOAF           (Serves 8-10 people)  Bake at 400 degrees F.

2 1/2 lbs. ground beef

1 1/4 lbs. ground pork

2 slices bread, in crumbs

1/3 cup oatmeal

4 eggs beaten

2 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon prepared mustard

1 cup tomato sauce

1 medium onion, chopped

1 small can evaporated milk

Pepper to taste


1 tablespoon dark brown sugar

1/4 cup tomato sauce

2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon mustard

1 tablespoon vinegar

Mix, shape into loaf.Put in greased pan. Bake 1 hour basting with pan juices.

For sauce, mix all together in small pan. Heat briefly and pour over individual slices of meatloaf. Serve with mashed potatoes and peas. Also, delicious as a cold sandwich.
