From Grandma’s Country Kitchen — Drop Cakes

This sounds like an interesting recipe.

DROP CAKES

1 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 small or 1 large egg

1/3 cup chopped seedless raisins

1/4 cup cold water

2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

A little bit of grated nutmeg

Cream the butter and the sugar. Drop in the eggs, one by one beating between sac addition. Add nutmeg and alternately the flour and water in which the baking soda has been dissolved. Dust the nuts and raisins with a little of the flour. Mix in well. Drop from spoon on a lightly floured cookie sheet. Bake until light brown.
