From Grandma’s Country Kitchen — Skillet Spaghetti

This is one of my favorite recipes.


1 pound ground beef

3 cups water

2 cans (11 1/2 ounces each) tomato juice (about 2 3/4 cups)

1 can tomato paste

2 tablespoons dried minced onion

1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 package spaghetti

Parmesan cheese

In skillet, cook beef over medium heat, drain. Add water, tomato juice, tomato paste and seasonings. Bring to boil. Add uncooked spaghetti. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently.
